Northwest Kidney Centers – Burien

Northwest Kidney Centers – Burien Campus is an expansion facility that includes two new buildings. The Pavilion building is a two-story structure with a dialysis clinic on the first floor, and offices on the second floor. Large windows and views out to the garden spaces provide a connection to nature for patients and staff alike.  The Logistics Center houses offices and meeting spaces and serves as a distribution warehouse for all locations. The campus was carefully designed to provide connectivity for staff, while also maximizing views and access to outdoor landscaped spaces.  A garden courtyard provides usable outdoor restorative space for staff, patients, and visitors in a native landscape with seating and specimen trees. Trees, shrubs, and perennials provide habitat for small birds and pollinators. Trees were selected and placed to help provide dappled shade and privacy for patients, while still providing plenty of daylight into interior spaces.
